Trinity Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support patient care in a day-shift setting. The role involves patient preparation, vital signs, documentation, and collaboration with providers to administer medications and prepare charts.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and will obtain required certifications within one year, with BLS within 3 months. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CAAHP/ABHES-accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Must obtain one of the listed certifications within one year of hire.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Deliver patient care through preparation, vital signs, and documentation.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under provider direction.
• Prepare patient charts and ensure documentation completion.
• Schedule procedures, labs, x-rays, surgeries; provide pre/post-surgery information.
• Educate patients and families; promote evidence-based resources.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to policies.
• Assists in training and cross-coverage as needed.
• Record plans of care and escalations as directed.
