Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; 1–2 years in a medical office/hospital setting involving medical assisting and direct patient care preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for office visits.
• Escort patients to treatment rooms.
• Obtains pertinent patient information for the medical record.
• Documents information in patients’ chart.
• Processes patient telephone calls and correspondence for the practice.
• Scribes information on a regular basis.
