Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital invites applications for a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA) on a 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. shift, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

The MS/Obs unit provides hands-on patient care under RN supervision, focusing on vital signs, daily living activities, and safe patient transport. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and willingness to become STNA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within new hire period.
• Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.
• Nursing students may substitute clinical rotations for the required experience.
• Demonstrates proficiency in applied mathematics & reading comprehension at an 8th grade level.

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
