Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA) for the Med/Surg units at Marymount Hospital. The role supports RNs in providing basic patient care, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Shifts run 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with rotating weekends and holidays. Strong teamwork and a compassionate approach are essential to help patients recover and thrive in a faith-based hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS Certification (AHA) required or obtained during hire.
• Nursing students must have BLS prior to hire.
• Military medical background (HM/68W/4N0X1) will be considered.
• Proficient in applied mathematics & reading comprehension (8th-grade level).

Responsibilities

• Provide or assist with basic patient care under RN supervision.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to an RN.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
• Assist with patient transfers/transport and activities of daily living.
• Take vital signs and monitor patients as needed.
• Apply external monitoring devices when required and remove Foley catheter when appropriate.
