University Hospitals is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA) to provide compassionate patient care across units including ICU, Med/Surg, and ED. The position follows RN direction with shifts such as Nights, Rotating Day/Night, Days, and Evening.

The PCNA performs ADLs, vital signs, I&O, and venipuncture where applicable, and aids with data collection, documentation, and unit operations. Onboarding and training of new teammates are also part of the role.

Formación

• Completes patient care activities under RN delegation.
• Maintains patient records and assists with data collection.
• Familiar with patient assistive devices and EKG equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Performs basic patient care tasks as delegated by the RN and assists in the plan of care.
• Acts with compassion for patients, families, and peers.
• Follows infection prevention and safety guidelines to promote positive outcomes.
• Provides safe environment in patient rooms and on unit.
• Supports stocking and ordering of supplies and unit communication.
• Onboards and trains new team members.
