Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a dedicated unit clerk/clinical support professional for second shift at our Louisville campus. You will perform clerical duties, transcribe orders, assemble charts, and provide patient care support under the guidance of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, EKG lead placement, and respiratory function tasks. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred completion of Clinical Assistant/MA/EMT training; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Completion of a recognized Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT Training Program or Nursing Students who completed Fundamentals of Nursing (preferred).
• Must have Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties and patient information processing under RN direction.
• Transcribe orders and assemble patient charts with accuracy.
• Provide patient care support including phlebotomy, EKG lead placement, and respiratory functions.
• Maintain unit data, assist with admissions/discharges, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
