Job summary

RCCA in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Patient Care Coordinator to support the oncology care journey. You will manage referrals, schedule appointments, verify insurance, obtain pre-authorizations, and maintain accurate medical records with compassionate service.

Minimum two years' related experience and strong communication skills are required. Compensation ranges from $15.58 to $21.00 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' related experience in medical billing, patient advocacy, or social services.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with computer systems and Microsoft Office Outlook & Word.

Responsibilities

• Pre-appointment outreach to collect basic chart information (diagnosis, physician, insurance).
• Ask patients questions to match with Network physician style and needs.
• Inquire about family, medical, social services needs.
• Coordinate referrals, schedule oncology-related appointments, and handle insurance/billing issues.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the medical chart and verify demographics.
• Assist with insurance verification, eligibility, and patient financial counseling.
• Obtain pre-authorizations and connect patients with financial resources if needed.
• Provide educational materials to patient and family and maintain update of resources.
