Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Wisconsin is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator to provide organizational, receptionist and clerical support to patient care units. You will monitor supplies, assist with orders in the EHR, and communicate with patients, visitors and staff to keep the care team informed.

The role requires strong teamwork, solid English reading/writing, basic computer skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
• Health Unit Coordinator program completion or comparable experience (preferred).
• Current CHUC certification (preferred).
• Certified Nursing Assistant on Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry in "non-expired" status (preferred).
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational, receptionist and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team.
• Monitors supplies and assists with managing orders in the EHR.
• Communicates effectively with patients, visitors and facility staff; supports the care team.
• Supports continuous improvement activities and participates in team requests.
