UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Moon Township, PA is hiring a Medical Assistant / Patient Service Coordinator to support our oncology office in a patient‑centered environment. This full‑time role blends clinical assistance with front‑office coordination, ensuring smooth patient flow and high‑quality care.

The position offers a daytime schedule (Mon–Fri, 8:00 am–4:30 pm) with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Front‑office experience, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow.
• Compassionate communication with patients and families.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting and work both independently and on a team.

Responsibilities

• Check schedules and organize patient flow; accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms.
• Take vitals and perform screenings per provider guidelines; relay instructions to patients/families.
• Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments; maintain infection control between visits.
• Handle front‑office tasks: phones, scheduling, records, insurance verification.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, PA Dept. of Health and HIPAA.
• Manage patient charts and forms; obtain/send lab/x‑ray reports and notes.
