Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient care based on referrals/order/requests from clinicians.
• Creates, tracks, manages, modifies, and monitors patient authorizations in alignment with payer requirements.
• Organizes schedules and manages appointments to ensure timely services.
• Discusses financial estimates for care with patients and families.
• Assists patients with insurance navigation and explains coverage and limitations.
• Connects patients to financing and/or financial assistance options per policy.
• Gathers patient data (demographics) and pre-registers for treatment.
• Verifies insurance and posts patient portions in the EMR.
• Participates in department/hospital meetings and aligns with SHINE behavior standards.
