Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking a Medical Assistant to deliver clinical office support to physicians and surgeons, performing patient care and essential administrative duties to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture and ECGs, managing patient flow, assisting patients, handling EMR orders and prescriptions, and maintaining sterile exam rooms in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED with completion of an approved Medical Assistant certificate course.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
• BCLS certification – Required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clinical office support to physicians and surgeons; perform patient care and administrative duties.
• Perform venipuncture and/or EKGs; manage patient flow and assist patients as needed.
• Enter orders and prepare prescription refills in the EMR system for physician review.
• Inventory, restock, and maintain medical supplies and equipment.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper sterilization and infection control.
• Schedule surgeries/procedures and coordinate with Surgical Coordinator as needed.
• Schedule appointments and register patients; update demographics and insurance information.
