Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience as a medical assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification by exam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient flow in waiting area and assist with registration and post-visit processing.
• Set up examination rooms and instruments per hospital infection control policies.
• Take and monitor vital signs; perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, ECGs, and related procedures as ordered.
• Assist physicians with procedures and use equipment safely and efficiently.
• Document patient information and care details in EMR per hospital policy.
• Coordinate scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-registration by phone or in person.
• Manage medical charts, forms, and lab reports; handle routine cash collections.
