Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside seeks a Medical Office Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support to physicians and surgeons. You will assist in patient care, perform venipuncture and EKGs, and help manage patient flow and documentation.

Qualifications

• Three to nine months of healthcare experience preferred.
• Venipuncture and EKG skills required.
• Heartsaver Certification from American Heart Association and/or BCLS

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care and clinical duties as assigned, including venipuncture, EKGs, and patient flow management.
• Perform clerical duties such as reviewing records, obtaining lab reports, and filing EMR/records.
• Enter orders into EMR or prepare prescription refills for physician review.
• Maintain clean, sterile exam rooms and inventory of supplies.
