Job summary

The Ozark Center is seeking a Medical Office Support Staff (MOSS) to provide essential front-office support across its offices. You will greet visitors, handle phone inquiries, schedule appointments, collect payments, and ensure HIPAA-compliant data handling in a compassionate, trauma-informed environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and preferably one year of medical office or billing experience, with a warm, empathic approach and strong data-entry skills to keep the office

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: 1 year of medical office or billing experience.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming phone calls, checks voice mail, and distributes phone messages as applicable.
• Maintain electronic scheduling calendar for follow up appointments, reschedule appointments as needed.
• Collect payments for services rendered at the time of appointment.
• Follow HIPAA standards in securing protected health information.
• Enter data accurately and timely.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
