Job summary

Connecticut Orthopaedics is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our front desk team. You will greet patients, verify insurance, and manage check-in/out processes in a busy orthopaedic practice.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and computer skills, with experience in medical EMR systems and insurance authorizations preferred. Monday–Friday, with coverage at Wallingford and other locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional credentials preferred.
• Two years of front desk experience at a medical practice with EMR and insurance authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, check in patients, verify insurance.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance information into the EMR.
• Determine fees and process co-pays, and record information.
• Maintain cash drawer and balance according to procedure.
