Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Manhattan Neurology-Move Disorder Division. The PCA will support administrative and patient care tasks, including reception, registration, and answering phones, while assisting with clinical duties within NYS scope of practice.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, checking in/out, scheduling, escorting to exam rooms, documenting in EPIC, and ensuring patient privacy and safety per HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of English evident in verbal, reading and writing abilities; other language an asset.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check-in/check-out, collect information and co-payments.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and route inquiries to the right person.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare rooms for provider visits; maintain patient privacy.
