Qualifications

• Strong communication, discretion and professionalism in front-desk interactions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding is preferred.
• Two years in a front office using medical management software is preferred.
• Typing or data entry at 40 wpm is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet, instruct and schedule patients and assist with insurance benefits verification.
• Register patients, update demographic and insurance data, and collect payments.
• Answer phones, relay messages and maintain a tidy front office and reception area.
• Support Practice Manager with problems in the Front Office and participate in staff meetings.
• Input daily charges and receipts while following policies and OSHA requirements.
