Job summary

Trakstar is seeking a Patient Advocacy Representative who supports TakeCare members by handling eligibility, coverage inquiries, care coordination and billing for services. You will document and research inquiries, collaborate with internal departments, and help resolve issues affecting member care and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Graduate of associate degree or four-year course or work experience equivalence.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Patient Advocate for TakeCare members and coordinate care and coverage issues.
• Communicate member-related problems with Medical Management, Claims, Customer Service and other departments.
• Assist in maintaining lists of members for monitoring, reporting and follow-up on coordination, coverage and billing issues.
• Support care coordination and approval of covered services.
• Educate members on benefit coverage and claims processes.
• Prepare correspondence and documentation related to inquiries and care coordination.
