Job summary

CareMore Health in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Patient Relations Representative to act as a trusted advocate for our members, helping navigate insurance, benefits, and access to care. You will support onboarding, resolve barriers, and coordinate with clinical teams to deliver high-quality service throughout the patient journey.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare operations, patient relations, customer service, or care coordination.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or managed care populations preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare systems/platforms.
• Comfortable with public speaking and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for patients regarding insurance, benefits, and access-to-care questions.
• Assist patients with understanding Medicare, Medicaid, and health plan benefits and eligibility.
• Help resolve concerns related to appointments, billing, and care coordination.
• Advocate for patients by addressing barriers to access and adherence.
• Educate patients on public assistance and healthcare support programs.
• Support onboarding and orientation to CareMore services.
• Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant patient records.
