Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our on-site front desk team. You will support patient flow, schedule optimization, insurance verification, and EMR data entry to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced office.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with patient focus.
• Ability to work collaboratively across care teams.
• Maintains patient and practice confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, clients, and vendors as the primary contact.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails promptly.
• Schedule appointments with provider schedule optimization and same-day fill opportunities.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics; enter data into EMR.
• Communicate coverage and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Prepare patient charts and documents before visits for efficient flow.
• Record charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR and assist with billing.
• Monitor patient flow and provider schedules to identify bottlenecks.
• Provide updates to patients on wait times and next steps.
• Support transitions between clinical and optical teams and follow-up on recalls and appointments.
