Job summary

Under supervision, the role involves ensuring charts and medical records are available, coordinating referrals, and assisting with admissions, lab and radiology order entry, and Cerner scheduling. Strong customer service and privacy knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience coordinating patient referrals and scheduling.
• Knowledge of privacy laws and basic medical terminology.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure charts and medical records are available for appointments.
• Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up after visits.
• Assist with referrals, scheduling tests, telemedicine, and travel/housing.
• Assist nursing with admissions and order entry.
• Maintain Cerner and department schedules.
• Respond to calls, mail, and portal messages promptly.
• Manage multiple priorities and coordinate with departments.
