Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develops empathetic relationships with patients, families and colleagues to support patient care.
• Assists patients during visits, updates medication and allergy lists, and informs about delays to ensure smooth flow.
• Communicates hand-offs clearly to providers and staff.
• Performs medical assisting duties under supervision (vital signs, measurements, EKGs, POC testing, immunizations for eligible MA).
• Leads population health efforts by outreach and health coaching to meet quality goals.
• Maintains medical equipment and supplies with proper sterility and storage.
• Uses EHR to queue prescriptions and document visit tasks for accurate billing.
• Schedules diagnostic tests and verifies insurance, referrals, and pre-certifications.
• Identifies OSHA issues and ensures patient safety and PHI compliance.
