Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Patient Services Representative to support the primary care team at North Broad. You will greet patients, schedule and manage appointments, triage calls, and document intake in the EMR to ensure smooth clinic flow.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to multi-task in a busy environment. Experience with EMR is preferred; excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant in a medical facility or professional office setting.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist them, providing courteous service.
• Schedule and cancel appointments according to protocol.
• Answer, triage, and direct phone calls; record messages in the EMR.
• Enter patient data in the EMR and ensure accurate demographics and HIPAA acknowledgements.
• Create and mail new patient packets and ensure proper documentation.
• Check patients in/out, collect appropriate fees, and maintain a neat front desk area.
• Balance cash drawers at end of day and adhere to privacy guidelines.
