Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Patient Coordinator at the Lutz facility for a PRN role. You will greet patients, register them in systems, and help explain procedures. The position supports multiple sites and requires strong customer service and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities include verifying coverage, obtaining authorizations, and assisting clinical staff with documentation and patient flow. CPR may be required for mobile radiology settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in multiple systems and verify insurance when needed.
• Collect payments for time‑of‑service and obtain authorizations when required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and schedule appointments.
