BluePearl Pet Hospital in Olympia, WA is seeking an experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital. The role involves coordinating patient flow, triaging medical calls, and maintaining clear communication with clients and staff.

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will serve as a liaison between front and back of the hospital, optimize patient care processes, and support the team across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor waiting and exam room clients and update them on wait times and patient status
• Coordinate patient flow between front desk, exam rooms and clinical staff to minimize delays
• Triage medical phone calls and facilitate client/doctor communication
• Manage discharge appointments and coordinate with technical team for smooth patient exits
• Handle ER visit follow-up calls for both locations and address client concerns

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital in Olympia, Washington!

Pay: $24 - $34 / hour

Shift Differentials (based on a 4-hour minimum):

• Monday-Friday 8pm-6am: $4.50


• Saturday-Sunday 8am-6pm: $4.50


• Saturday-Sunday 6pm-8am: $8.00

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will a ct as a liaison between the front and back of the hospital by facilitating client/patient flow between the waiting room, exam rooms, CSR staff , and clinical staff, triaging medical phone calls, coordinating client/doctor communication, and performing ER visit follow-up calls for both locations. Evening, weekend , and holiday work across both locations may be required as part of the normal workweek.

As the Patient Care Coordina tor, you will:

• Monitor the waiting/exam room clients; assist with refreshments/marketing materials; update clients on wait time/patient status


• Maintain open communication with the doctor and technical staff to minimize wait times and maximize patient flow regarding long wait times


• Coordinate patient flow between multiple specialties


• Manage Cornerstone hospital census


• Facilitate discharge appointments for all services


• Perform patient discharges in coordination with the technical team


• Manage patient discharge/visit board and exam rooms; ensure comfortable and timely visits & discharges


• Check ER doctor message bin and triage messages for doctors; facilitate solutions for clients


• Receive and address patient care telephone calls from the general public


• Call previous day's ER clients for follow-up feedback for both locations
