Peachtree Spine and Sports Physicians is seeking a highly motivated, adaptable, and patient-focused Patient Care Coordinator to join our Decatur team. This role is central to delivering an exceptional patient experience while ensuring efficient daily clinic operations in a fast-paced specialty practice.
We are looking for a team member who is professional, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple areas of the practice. Flexibility, accountability, and a strong willingness to cross-train are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in patients with professionalism, efficiency, and warmth
- Manage scheduling, registration, and appointment coordination
- Collect, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Support smooth patient flow between clinical and administrative teams
- Assist with patient intake, documentation preparation, and rooming support as needed
- Communicate clearly with providers and staff to ensure seamless daily operations
- Respond to patient inquiries in person and over the phone with excellent service
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with all practice policies and HIPAA standards
Cross-Training & Flexibility Expectations
This position is designed for an individual who is energized by variety and teamwork. The ideal candidate will be expected to:
- Cross-train and provide support across front office, clinical support, and call center departments
- Adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment
- Provide coverage support during high-volume periods, staff absences, or operational demands
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a medical office or patient-facing healthcare role preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a high-volume environment
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong willingness to learn and cross-train
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes preferred
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic)strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus
