Job summary

Barbour Orthopaedics is seeking an experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. You will be the main point of contact for patients, manage scheduling, and coordinate treatment plans with the clinical staff.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in medical or customer service roles, strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and patient management systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for patients and provide timely information.
  • Oversee scheduling and rescheduling of appointments for efficiency.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to confirm appointments and address questions.
  • Maintain accurate patient interaction and appointment records in the system.
  • Collaborate with clinical team to ensure treatment plans are executed.
  • Address and resolve patient issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.
  • Ensure all interactions comply with regulations and policies.
  • Report weekly metrics to the Practice Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive timely and accurate information regarding their appointments, treatment plans, and any other needs.
  • Oversee the scheduling and rescheduling of patient appointments, ensuring that all scheduling is completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct follow‑up calls with patients to confirm appointments, check on their status, and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of patient interactions, appointments, and treatment progress within the patient management system.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to ensure that patient treatment plans are executed effectively and that any patient‑specific requirements are met.
  • Address and resolve any patient issues or concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all patient interactions comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Report weekly metrics on patient interactions, appointment statuses, and any issues to the Practice Manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a medical or customer service role is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and familiar with patient management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records and handling appointments.
