Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors in a friendly, welcoming manner.
• Answer and respond to telephone inquiries professionally and timely.
• Schedule appointments and gather patient and insurance information.
• Verify and enter patient demographics into EMR with complete fields.
• Verify vision and medical insurance information and enter into EMR.
• Communicate insurance information to patients clearly.
• Ensure insurance eligibility is checked prior to appointments.
• Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure charges are billed.
• Print and prepare forms for patient visits.
• Collect and document all charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR.
• Allocate balances to insurance as needed.
• Maintain a clean workspace and manage supplies efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
