Job summary

OnePeak Medical is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator in Eugene to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, delivering warm, professional service while guiding them through scheduling, insurance checks, and demographics updates.

You will manage a multi-line phone system, maintain accurate PCP in charts, verify payments, and protect HIPAA privacy. The role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months of customer service experience is required.
• 6 months of front desk reception or scheduling experience in a medical office is strongly preferred.
• PM/EHR experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and a warm welcome to patients and visitors, in person or by phone.
• Ensure accurate listing of the Primary Care Provider (PCP) in the patient's chart.
• Adhere to OnePeak Medical policies and protect HIPAA confidentiality.
• Manage a multi-line telephone system, routing calls and scheduling appointments.
• Register patients and update demographics and insurance information, plus patient portal access.
• Verify accuracy of appointment schedules and required documentation changes.
• Confirm payment method (insurance or cash) at each appointment and collect payments when needed.
• Maintain the reception area, waiting rooms, and office files.
• Address patient complaints with problem-solving and escalate when needed.
• Attend department and clinical meetings as scheduled.
• Fulfill any additional responsibilities to support OnePeak Medical.
