Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide safe clinical support, bridging administrative prep and provider intervention. You will ensure patient readiness, perform standard rooming, and educate patients to maximize provider efficiency.

This onsite role reports to the Center Administrator and emphasizes accurate screenings and proactive care. The position focuses on patient-facing tasks within a TB screening program, requires Active BLS, and is 40 hours per week in

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic anatomy and HIPAA/safety policies.
• Immunization and medication administration.
• Infection prevention and OSHA standards.
• POCT and specimen handling.
• Strong interpersonal skills to support patients.

Responsibilities

• Intake and Clinical Rooming: perform clinical prep, verify meds and allergies, conduct screenings.
• Inbox and Worklist Management: manage EMR inbox with routing rules for messages, results, adherence follow-ups; aim for same-day touch.
• Education and Loop-Back: confirm patient understanding of next steps to reduce rework.
• TB screening program: role is patient-facing and screened for TB.
