Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown and West Hospitals in Nashville, TN, are seeking a compassionate team member to join the Float department. This Day/PRN role provides bedside support across locations, ensuring patient comfort and safety while collaborating with the care team.

You will remain at the bedside, help calm agitated patients, identify hazards, and record observations. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of relevant experience) and BLS certification

Qualifications

• BLS Provider preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Crisis Prevention certification preferred
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Remain at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Assist in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and report as appropriate.
• Record all observations.

Education

High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience
