Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Associate/Patient Care Technician to assist in individualized patient care under RN/LPN direction in the 3c department. The role offers an apprenticeship program through an accredited Department of Labor pathway and a 175-hour training option for new hires, with BLS within 1 month.

Hours are available in full and part-time formats; education assistance, health/dental/vision coverage after day one, a 401k with match, and paid parental leave are among the benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA/CPTC preferred.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds regularly; stand/walk long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document in EMR.
• Assist with meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation and mobility.
• Provide clerical support as needed.
• Perform PCA duties with career ladder opportunities to PCT or beyond.
• Phlebotomy/blood cultures, enteral feeding, wound care, IV/Foley removal, trach care/suctioning.
