Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Associate/Patient Care Technician to assist with individualized patient care under supervision. Full-time and part-time positions available, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus for full-time staff. Training includes a DOL-accredited apprenticeship program and 175-hour training for new hires.

Responsibilities include vital signs, patient mobility, meals, hygiene, and clerical tasks. Prior CNA preferred; BLS within 1 month of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Education to include HS diploma or GED and CNA/CPTC or enrollment in a healthcare program.
• Certification in CNA preferred; BLS within 1 month of hire.
• Experience not required for entry, physical requirements noted.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document in EMR system.
• Assist with patient care: meals, bathing, toileting, mobility and transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed.
• Support advancement via clinical ladder to PCA/PCT roles; phlebotomy and wound care as listed.
• Participate in the accredited Apprenticeship Program and training.
