Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Associate for the Emergency Dept. You will assist under RN/LPN direction with patient wellness, perform phlebotomy, feeding, wound care, IV/Foley removal, and trach care as part of a collaborative team.

The role includes a 175‑hour Department of Labor Apprenticeship training, orientation within 90 days, and BLS within one month. High school diploma or CNA/CPCT preferred; lifting 50 lbs and standing required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC or enrolled in a healthcare career program through high school curriculum; or a Mercy coworker.
• Experience: None required
• Minimum Physical Requirements: Lift 50 pounds regularly; prolonged standing and walking; grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
