Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) for our Cardiac Telemetry unit. You will work nights on a part‑time schedule (24 hrs/week) alongside RNs and LPNs to support patient wellness and compassionate care.

No prior experience is required; we provide full training, including an apprenticeship program and a 175‑hour orientation. A CNA/CPTC is preferred, with a strong focus on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• CNA/CPTC certification preferred or enrollment in healthcare programs.
• Physical ability to assist patients and perform routine care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs in electronic medical records
• Assist patients with meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport
• Provide clerical support as needed
• Work alongside RNs and LPNs to support patient wellness
• Support the care team to ensure compassionate, high‑quality care
• Participate in training and development activities as required
