Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Health Care Associate to provide direct patient care under RN guidance in accordance with regulations. The role supports patient comfort, mobility, and daily activities, while ensuring accurate documentation and high-quality service to patients and families.

Requires completion of nursing aide training or equivalent and may require BLS certification. EPIC EHR experience is preferred, with shifts including nights and a 36-hour work week at Mercy Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Provides basic patient care and supports mobility and comfort.
• Communicates changes or concerns between patient and nurse.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with feeding, hydration, and nutrition.
• Perform delegated tasks after competency validation.
• Document patient information accurately and promptly.
• Support patient safety and infection control practices.
• Report changes in patient condition to the nurse in charge.
