Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Nursing Assistant / CNA to support patient care across units in a hospital setting. The role includes completing CNAs duties, processing orders, answering calls, and maintaining medical records with strict adherence to standards.

You will work in a two 12-hour night shift rotation with weekend and holiday coverage, and opportunities for growth through certification reimbursement and career advancement.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program.
• Advanced CNA program preferred.
• Completion of a Unit Clerk course or equivalent on the job training.

Responsibilities

• Processes orders and patient charges in an accurate and timely manner.
• Answers the telephone and call lights, relays messages to patients and staff.
• Directs visitors to patients' rooms.
• Maintains medical records of current patients.
• Maintains supplies and disposes of expired or damaged supplies.
• Provides patient care as assigned per standards of care and shift routines.
• Documents care provided according to standards.
• Floats to various units based on needs.
• Verifies accuracy of charges entered.
