Job summary

Waterbury Hospital is seeking a certified nursing assistant to provide general patient care under the guidance of registered nurses. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, phlebotomy, and providing nutritional support as needed.

Qualifications

  • CPR certification required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Assist RN by performing selected tasks to obtain and report information for assessment and planning.
  • Perform selected patient-related activities and diagnostic tests to aid safe delivery of care.
  • Communicate effectively with team to provide quality service.
  • Follow organization and department safety procedures.
  • Order and manage supplies within budget; ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Participate in staff meetings and competencies; support quality improvement processes.
  • Perform related duties as required.
