Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support the clinical care team on 5N. You will assist nurses with activities of daily living, perform vital signs, and help with procedures such as venipuncture and EKGs. You will maintain a clean environment and document patient data.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate for medical assistant/patient care program with venipuncture and EKG skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience or ability to work in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with patient care and daily living activities.
• Take vital signs and assist with procedures as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and document data.
• Support communication and coordination within the care team.
• Respond to patient needs and calls promptly.
• Assist with dietary tasks and transportation of patients as required.
