We are currently seeking a personable, energetic, professional Patient Care Associate to join our outstanding team at Eye Care Specialist located in Hazelton, PA! The Patient Care Associate is responsible for greeting the patients as they enter the practice, check-in, check-out, scheduling, and other administrative tasks.

What You Will Do:

• Greeting patients in person and on the phone.
• Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.
• Notifying providers of patient arrivals.
• Provide exceptional patient care and comfort patients by effectively answering or referring questions to the appropriate team member.
• Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records.
• Verify financial records and collect patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims.
• Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting orders.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed.

What You Will Bring:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
• Detail-oriented and ability to multitask
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records software is a plus.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
