St. Joseph Health Madison Hospital in Madisonville, Texas, seeks a Patient Care Assistant to help patients with daily living activities and support nursing staff in vital sign checks and room preparation.

You will assist with personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, record intake/output, daily weights, and blood glucose testing, while remaining diligent, observant, and coachable to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Competenze

• High School Graduate General Studies or GED required at hire.
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing or 1 year direct patient care experience required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) within 14 days of hire.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Care Assistant, you’ll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities.

Every day, you will directly support patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also assisting nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms.

Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients feel better, whether that means giving them fresh bed linens or checking their vitals. You're diligent about your tasks, observant of patients’ conditions improving or declining, and accept coaching well.
