Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, TX seeks a Patient Care Assistant to help patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities.

You will support patients with personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and assist nursing staff with vitals and room preparation. Must be diligent, observant, and coachable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduated from accredited school of nursing or 1 year direct patient care experience.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Monitors and records vital signs.
• Assists in providing personal hygiene and physical care needs.
• Accurately measures, records, and reports intake and output.
• Obtains and records daily weight.

As our Patient Care Assistant, you’ll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities.

Every day, you will directly support patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also assisting nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms.

Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients feel better, whether that means giving them fresh bed linens or checking their vitals. You're diligent about your tasks, observant of patients’ conditions improving or declining, and accept coaching well.

Pay Range

$19.49 - $27.52 /hour
