St. Luke’s Health - The Woodlands Hospital in Texas is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily activities and comfort. You will assist with personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and prepare rooms, while aiding nurses with vitals and basic care.

A strong focus on patient safety and compassion, with CPR/BLS within 14 days of hire. A high school diploma or GED and experience or graduation from a nursing program are often required.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required at hire.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing or 1 year direct patient care experience.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) within 14 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff
• Monitors and records vital signs
• Assists with personal hygiene and physical care needs
• Accurately measures, records, and reports intake and output
• Obtains and records daily weight
• Performs blood glucose testing using a glucose meter

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Patient Care Assistant, you’ll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities. Every day, you will directly support patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also assisting nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms. Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients feel better, whether that means giving them fresh bed linens or checking their vitals. You're diligent about your tasks, observant of patients’ conditions improving or declining, and accept coaching well.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or

Clinical services provided include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level III nurseries), surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorder services.

Pay Range

$19.49 - $27.52 /hour
