Job summary

Training is provided through Mercy's UAP program, with BLS certification required within one month. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and the ability to bend and reach.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC or enrolled in a healthcare career program through high school curriculum or age 18 and able to participate in Mercy's UAP training program, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN.
• Performs designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient.
