Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Med Surg Unit at Edgewood Hospital. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week with shifts from 7A-7P.

You will support nursing staff, provide direct and indirect patient care, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients under the supervision of licensed personnel. Training and orientation are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with vital signs and patient care tasks preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document in electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients/visitors with courtesy and respond to inquiries.
• Assist licensed staff by completing physician/nurse tasks under supervision.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care as directed by RN or LPN.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, clean environment.
