Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program.
• May be enrolled in a nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing completed.
• Foreign-trained RN relocating to the United States without Michigan RN license.
• Medical Assistant program with or without experience.
• At least 1 year of NA, PCT, PAT, or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains effective communication with patients, family, and healthcare team.
• Assists RN in admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
• Provides personal care such as bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility, and comfort.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and therapeutic patient environment.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Performs general clerical duties as assigned.
