Job summary

Henry Ford Genesys Hospital is hiring Nursing Assistants for part-time and full-time shifts (days and overnights). You will work directly with registered nurses to provide compassionate, age-appropriate patient care and support the healthcare journey while maintaining safety and professionalism.

Key duties include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vitals, communicating with the care team, and upholding infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan Nurse Aide certification or equivalent required, or active clinical rotation in nursing.
• BLS Provider (AHA) certification obtained within 3 months of hire is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care including bathing, grooming, mobility support, and transfers.
• Obtain and record vital signs and monitor patient condition; report changes promptly.
• Maintain patient hygiene and skin integrity; assist with procedures and safety.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, patients, and families; coordinate care.
• Follow infection control protocols; identify and report unsafe conditions; support safety initiatives.
• Attend meetings, participate in orientations, and assist with meal service and observation duties.
