Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support patient care on the 6th Floor – Med/Surg. Under RN supervision, you will help with basic care, safety, and comfort for a diverse patient population.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and Nurse Assistant training; BLS certification during orientation is expected. Day shift, full-time with every other weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with relevant Nurse Assistant training.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program or enrollment in a nursing program.
• CNA preferred; foreign-trained RN without MI license may qualify.
• At least one year in Nurse Assistant/Patient Care Tech role preferred.
• BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

Responsabilités

• Take and record vital signs, collect specimens, venipuncture as directed by RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges under RN supervision.
• Provide personal care: bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility and comfort.
• Communicate with patients and families to support care plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
