Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL seeks a Patient Care Assistant for full-time night shifts. You will assist patients with daily living activities, provide basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, and help maintain a safe environment on the unit.

Requirements include CNA certification, high school diploma, and preferred phlebotomy and EKG certifications along with BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Preferred phlebotomy certification at hire.
• Preferred EKG certification at hire.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and kept current.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum six months of acute care hospital or physician’s office experience.

Department: Nursing Float

Schedule: Full-time nights 6:45p - 7:15a, 3-12-hour shifts

Facility: Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center

Location: Aurora, IL, 60506

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable required):

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $18.00 to $26.68.
