Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for night shifts to support patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.

Preferred CNA certification with a high school diploma, plus current BLS, and preferred phlebotomy and EKG credentials; up to six months acute care experience is desirable. Benefits and total rewards accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintaining a safe environment under RN supervision.
• Provide basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment on the unit.
